First hello fresh box :)

I'm currently taking a break from beauty boxes, so I've been spending my pennies on food related bits and bobs recently, as i always feel food is less of a luxury item, i feel less guilty spending money on it, as it never feels like a waste of money.

  Today i got my first box from Hello Fresh =] as you all may know i'm a bit of a secret foodie, and love trying the latest thing (i'm also subscribed to a monthly artisan food box Flavourly) But hello Fresh is a totally different concept.

Hello fresh Pricing Structure;
3-Meal Box for 2 – £39 (Vegetarian option available)
3-Meal Box for 4 – £59 (Vegetarian option available)
3-Meal Box for 6 – £89 (Vegetarian option available)
5-Meal Box for 2 – £49
5-Meal Box for 4 – £89
5-Meal Box for 6 – £129

I chose the 3 meals for 2 people box. For £39 a week, you get 3 days food for 2 people, all measured out for you to the exact tea, so all you have to do is chop and cook :D but as a single pringle one of these boxes can easily do me a whole week, (especially as all the meats fresh so can easily keep 48 hours once the packets opened :)  halving the ingredients & you get these pretty nifty little recipe cards which you can collect so you can do the meals again.

this box is ideal for me, although i'm skipping next weeks, as 1) i don't eat potato so i tend not to do dishes that need to change the main base, and 2) cooking fish is a big no-no for me. However i will be getting a box again very soon as i'm so impressed with the service! I got a phone call from a lovely lady to tell me my box wasn't coming today as the courier was having issues, and she was really happy because my box had already come so that was a nice surprise (silly couriers) :D Also i got 2 free cans of Alibi drinks (which i've never tried before) so that was a lovely surprise :D

Another thing i noticed was the amount of food i got was very generous. I got a whole bottle of milk (only 100ml needed for recipe) and a whole pot of creme freshe (only half a cup needed) so you get stuff you can reuse.

Also all the meat is from real butchers, and veg from greengrocers. Its not your tesco value type stuff, its truly good quality produce. ^^

I haven't taken many photos as i'm going to focus on taking photos of the meals when i do them, but i have taken one of the yummy steak i got in the box, you can see the quality just looking at it :D, i'm cooking the beef dish tomorrow so stay tuned for updates :)
